Happy Literacy Week!
Monday: Book Character Dress Up Day- Dress as your favorite book character. Shhhh, don’t tell people who you are and see if they can figure it out! Tuesday: Poem in your Pocket- Carry around a copy of your favorite poem, and maybe someone will stop you and ask you to read it to them. Wednesday: Book Swap Day! – Bring in a book that you have already enjoyed reading, and swap it with a book from a friend in your class! Thursday: On the hunt for a DINO-Mite Book! Wear your favorite dinosaur shirt, hat, socks, anything dinosaur themed and join us from 6:00-7:15pm for Literacy Night! Friday: WEAR WORDS –Words are always around us. Wear a shirt that your friends can read! What we are learning this week: *Refer to details and examples in a text when explaining what the text says explicitly and when drawing inferences from the text. *Determine the main idea of a text and explain how it is supported by key details; summarize the text. *Finding Perimeter and Area *Studying Henry Flagler and St. Augustine Reminders: *Book Fair Thursday 1/31 *Field Trip Next Wednesday 2/6
